We are regulated under the National Quality Framework including the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011.
Exceeding National Quality Standards
Our Pre-school has a rating of ‘Exceeding National Quality Standard,’ which means going ‘above and beyond’ what is expected. Our service was assessed and shown to go beyond meeting the requirements of the National Quality Standard in all seven quality areas.
Zero Tolerance of Child Abuse
WHPS has zero tolerance for child abuse. We adhere to the seven ‘child safe standards’ set out by the Victorian Government in response to the Betrayal of Trust Inquiry, as outlined here.
Our Statement of Commitment to Child Safety
West Hawthorn Pre-school:
- has zero tolerance for child abuse,
- actively works to listen to and empower children
- is committed to promoting physical, emotional and cultural safety for all WHPS children
- is committed to providing a safe environment for all WHPS children
